Comment: Cannot fault the staff and service - all excellent and most welcoming. Hotel lobby and entrance quite grand with lovely open fireplace. Dining room comfortable and the food was tasty and well presented. Grounds fine and the leisure facilities comfortable and clean. Nice pool, sauna/steam room and had a relaxing massage. Hotel itself, by virtue of several extensions and remodelling is a bit of a warren, with many staircases and twists and turns, but didn't detract too much from the charm. Does need some updating/refurbishment, as parts are a little dated/tired. Main disappointment was the afternoon tea, which frankly was not only very overpriced, but of very average quality. This was a shame. However as mentioned dinner was very good, so the catering staff redeemed themselves here! Tea did not detract from the overall experience which was really relaxing and just what we were after and excellent value of money meaning thay we may well pay the Pendley Manor another visit in the not too distant future.

Comment: the only thing that let you down was the quality of the bed mattress the hotel is lovley but i would save money in others areas of the hotel to fit new matress on all beds i booked a four poster bed but it was a frame surrounding the worset mattress and bed like you would fit in rented accomadation POOR .... very worn out after trying 3 rooms the last bed on inspection last thing at night was bad in my side but as my good lady was 8 months pregnant i could Not move again ..such a shame the beds and a bad sleep means i would not recomend or return unless beds were replaced....

Comment: The hotel and swimming pool, sauna and steam really do need updating. The restaurant was lovely, food was excellent and the staff were very nice.

Comment: Room interior decoration needs serious updating and refreshing. Very pleasant stay dramatically reduced by noise and bother of constant wedding activities on the weekend. The hotel's strengths are the lovely grounds and location, and the friendly and helpful staff.
